Countless reasons to smile!

A lovely cat on a soft pillow
a gentle Arowana as he catches my throw
a gorgeous Waling-waling as she seduced me in purity
A zephyr that tickled my uncertainty.

A Coconut oil as he purify the flesh
a serving of Pinakbet that delight the prince
a brewed Kape_Barako as he awaken me with his sting
a Mango shakes as she enticed my being.

A daughter smile, a son's tantrum
a neighbor songs, a daily humdrum
a vendors yell for the sake of his goods
a soap opera for a drama unfold.

Alas! Countless indeed ! Countless indeed!
Why we frown? Why we gripe?
Simple joy is boundless gift
for you to share, for us to take.

Milk, Wine and poetry
books, music and pottery
countless indeed! Countless indeed!
Even the sand are outnumbered.

When the twilight comes and the Prince will go
to meet the King beyond the blue
when my epilogue will be concluded
I don't asked ovation but SMILE instead.

He is enough

I have doubt
I have uncertainty.
I have fears
I have misery.
I have questions
I have dispute.

I was dissected
I was dis tasted.
I was deprived
I was humiliated.
I was mislead
I was prosecuted.

I have to fight and let it go.
I have to soar and let them know
the battle that is ahead of me
belong to GOD instead of me.

In all my doubt and uncertainty
even in fears and in misery
in every question and in dispute
HE IS enough nothing to fear.

I am blessed
For I am chosen...

Note to God

I love to write. It is my emotional released.
I need to pray. It is my spiritual weapon and shield
.

I worked from 6:00 A.M. To 6:00 P.M. Daily. In a manufacturing industries like ours, TIME and QUALITY are precious and it means money, either wasted or earned. But I know more than anything, being connected to GOD is essential no matter how demanding my environment is. I believe prayers can change everything and can be done in many unique ways. So I have this idea of picking a piece of paper and wrote my prayer concerned addressed to GOD every time my spirit urges me. After writing a short note to GOD, I just simply fold and raised it, close my eyes for a moment and offer a silent, quick and heartfelt prayer. After that, the note will be placed inside my planner. My collection of my short note to GOD grow in number every week and every time I have a change, I scan and read it again. I feel so blessed how God responded my short note to HIM.

Concise but effective .
Simple but sincere.
Ragged but powerful.
(A Thanksgiving prayer after knowing that my friend LYN has given opportunity to work aboard.)

( a prayer right after I lost my 500 pesos because of negligence)

( a prayer asking forgiveness ...)

( a thanksgiving prayer after GOD answer my prayer for a very long time. I actually forget it, but GOD knows what I need, HE took my heart by surprised)

(A prayer for protection for everybody after H1N1 scares. Thanks God no one of my friends, co-workers and love one got infected.)

(a prayer for divine healing for my Mama and Marjorie ( my neighbors daughter) .God is good He healed both.
a few out of the manny notes that I wrote to GOD and kept it as a souvenier of HIS loving kindness. PRAISE HIM!

Changing Season

A note for a friend
Our life was form through changes. When new things comes, do not be afraid but faced it with courage.
Though sometimes it brings pain, latter on you will know its purpose. Changes help us grow, move and survived. Remember, as human superior than the rest, we must anticipate the unpredictable ups and down in life. Believe that in every changes there is always a lesson to learn and something to reap from the fields in our heart that has been proved by the constantly changing season. Keep in mind, God made everything beautiful....in HIS time.

(As a words of encouragement, this short notes was written for my friend Jimmy, who are emotionally in pain when his wife are gone...(somewhere). In this modern world, where email and text messages dominates, a letter like this one where I intentionally left on his disk has still an impact to the one who in needs and want to be understood like him. The next day, he passed to my department, rub my back and whisper “ Thank you for that awakening notes” then smile at me and go back to his work.. )

Rain

Tiny drops
Cristal drops
precious drops
ease
quench
and soothe
the barren hearth of solitude.

Legend says its angels tears
are you with me to disagree?
Sages traversed celestial to seek for the answer
but poet knows the reason in Cristal clear
these precious tiny Cristal drops declares
the existence of sovereign GOD that really cares.

My college classmate

These are the people I cannot forget. This is the group that created and purposed the Computerized Library System in our school. The task challeged us not only our intellect but our physical and financial capabilities as well. After 10 months of sleepless nights of group study and research we come up with system that will computerized our library. This picture is taken after our oral defend. Our thesis has passed from the perfectionist jury and our proposal has been approved. One of the finalist asked us what to do after passing our proposal, I told him " O God Sir, matutulog muna ako" everybody agreed with me, and the room were filled with laughter.

The graduation picture

My graduation picture....the only black and white picture that I have....

The oldest picture that I have.

This is the most precious and oldest picture that I have. My mother (wearing a black skirt) and my father (wearing longselves) take a posed together with other couple my Tiyay Mary and Tiyoy Gingging. The dramatic black and white picture has a unique appeal to this multi colored genaration.

The people I admired most!

Mohandas Gandhi

2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was the pre-eminent political and spiritual leader of India and the Indian independence movement. He was the pioneer of satyagraha—resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience, firmly founded upon ahimsa or total non-violence—which led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. He is commonly known around the world as Mahatma Gandhi (Sanskrit: महात्मा mahātmā or "Great Soul", an honorific first applied to him by Rabindranath Tagore), and in India also as Bapu (Gujarati: બાપુ bāpu or "Father"). He is officially honoured in India as the Father of the Nation; his birthday, 2 October, is commemorated there as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday, and worldwide as the International Day of Non-Violence

************

Helen Keller

(June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was an American author, political activist and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. The story of how Keller's teacher, Annie Sullivan, broke through the isolation imposed by a near complete lack of language, allowing the girl to blossom as she learned to communicate, has become known worldwide through the dramatic depictions of the play and film The Miracle Worker. A prolific author, Keller was well traveled and was outspoken in her opposition to war. She campaigned for women's suffrage, workers' rights, and socialism, as well as many other progressive causes.

************

Dr. Jose Rizal

June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896, was a Filipino polymath, nationalist and the most prominent advocate for reforms in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He is considered the Philippines' national hero and the anniversary of Rizal's death is commemorated as a Philippine holiday called Rizal Day. Rizal's 1896 military trial and execution made him a martyr of the Philippine Revolution.

************

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela, an anti-apartheid activist and pro-Gandhian, was the first black person to be elected for the post of the President of South Africa. In his freedom struggle, he was convicted of many crimes (for good cause) and had to spend 27 years in prison. His political views and values are greatly influenced by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi. He also won the Nobel Peace prize.

************

Martin Luther King

An American clergyman and one of the leading activists in the Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. He was the frontrunner to achieve the total banishment of racial discrimination through non-violent means just like Mahatma Gandhi. He was not only one of the greatest orators in the history of United States, but also was a great humanitarian. He was the youngest African-American person to receive the Nobel Prize. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in 1968.

************

Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in Skopje*, Macedonia, on August 26**, 1910. Her family was of Albanian descent. At the age of twelve, she felt strongly the call of God. She knew she had to be a missionary to spread the love of Christ. At the age of eighteen she left her parental home in Skopje and joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missions in India. After a few months' training in Dublin she was sent to India, where on May 24, 1931, she took her initial vows as a nun. From 1931 to 1948 Mother Teresa taught at St. Mary's High School in Calcutta, but the suffering and poverty she glimpsed outside the convent walls made such a deep impression on her that in 1948 she received permission from her superiors to leave the convent school and devote herself to working among the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta. Although she had no funds, she depended on Divine Providence, and started an open-air school for slum children. Soon she was joined by voluntary helpers, and financial support was also forthcoming. This made it possible for her to extend the scope of her work.

***************

Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino

(November 27, 1932 – August 21, 1983), popularly known as Benigno Aquino, Jr. and by his nickname Ninoy, was a former Philippine senator, governor, vice governor and mayor and a leader of the opposition to the rule of Ferdinand Marcos. He was assassinated at the Manila International Airport (now named the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in his honor) upon returning home from exile in the United States. His death catapulted his widow, Corazon Aquino, to the limelight and subsequently to the presidency, replacing the 20-year-old Marcos regime.

Principles in my life

1. Listen before you speak .
Speaking is listening and listening is speaking. Listen using with your mind and heart, because ear is just a channel. Understand before you speak, for the abundant of the heart and mind will overflow through your mouth. Remember we are accountable in every careless word we uttered.

2. Build bridges instead of wall.
Many people remain friendless because they build walls instead of bridges. They search for faultless friends. Connect, connect, and connect and be a friend to everybody. Do not discriminate people just because of his social status, ethic origin, intellectual capacity and sexual preference. Smile and accept people as what they are.

3. Give your best today, as if you will die tomorrow .
In everything you do try give your best, because what today will never be the same tomorrow. Therefore be kind to every person you meet, for tomorrow they will gone. Labor for good today, for tomorrow is the appointed time for reaping. Love today for tomorrow may hatred comes. We only die at once, so we must die well.

4. Know what you want and follow your dreams .
Discover yourself. Explore and search for the world has a lot to offer to you. Enjoy the days of your youth and follow what your heart dictates so that when you grow old you can say “I live a long and satisfied life”.

5. Never desire only for the material wealth but for wisdom and faithfulness .
Worldly treasures will vanish and can be stolen but wisdom is all yours even to your grave. If you have wisdom, you know faithfulness, for being faithful is a show of intellectual power.

6. Balance everything, for everything should be balanced.
We never stood as in physical structure only. We are spiritual, social, intellectual and emotional being. Feed, nourish and nurture all what is in you as a human. Life is being judged accumulatively.

7.
Practice honesty in all your dealing.
Learn the art of saying YES or NO with emphasis and all honesty. It is best, than misleading someone with a lie. Do not be deceived by the worldly standards that say “Honestly is just a lonely word” for every time you tell the truth millions of angels rejoicing with you in heaven.

8. Never let failures and setbacks stop you from winning.
Have a good courage, be determined and learn from your mistakes. Remember “No pain No gain” It is not how many times you stumble, but it is how many time you stood up and say to yourself “LIFE MUST GO ON”.

9. Have a cheerful disposition.
Carry life in a light and easy way. Life is so short and yet so beautiful. Be happy!

10.
Acknowledge HIM!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your ways.

Your Love, My home

I was a wayward

running away from home.

Building my own castle

in the sandy sinking ground.

When the storms passed and go

it scares me more and more

then I decided to go home

for in your arms I feel secure

Your love keeps me calling

when Im away from home.

Your love keeps me going

even in the storm.

I was mislead and astray

by the darkness of the midnight

but your love, your only love bring me home

and take me to light.

Now Im here to stay

forever I will be

where you go,I'll go

for my heart belongs to you

and when the storms passed and go

it scares me no more

for I am sheltered by your love

your my strenght and your my joy.

The most influencial books in my life

1.Bible – The book of books. It’s a book of history, laws, poetry, music and love story. The best seller of all time, and the foundation of our Christian faith.

2. Celebration of disciplineby Richard Foster - Celebration of Disciplinehas had a massive influence on evangelicalism. Unfortunately, the influence has helped to saturate the church with mystical contemplative prayer and the New Age. Most likely, your pastor has a copy of this book in his library.

3. The power of positive thinking- by Norman Vincent Peale - Faith in yourself makes good things happen to you. This classic guide to self-esteem and success will help you learn how to: break the worry habit; get other people to like you; avoid "the jitters" in your daily work; believe in yourself and everything you do; develop the power to reach your goals, and so much more.

4. The on my own handbookby Bobb Biehl – 100 secrets of success to prepare for life.

5. Seven habits of highly people – by Stephen R. Covey - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change was a groundbreaker when it was first published in 1990, and it continues to be a business bestseller with more than 10 million copies sold. Stephen Covey, an internationally respected leadership authority, realizes that true success encompasses a balance of personal and professional effectiveness, so this book is a manual for performing better in both arenas. His anecdotes are as frequently from family situations as from business challenges.

6. Take care of yourself- by Donald M. Vickery M.D./James F. Fries M.D.-The complete Illustrated guide to medical self-care. This is very useful; I even referred this book to my co-workers.

7. Stress Managementby Edward A. Chalesworth. Ph.D. / Ronald G. Nathan- A very helpful book in fighting daily stress.

8. Trip to Quipo- by Ricky Lee – Scriptwriting manual for beginner. I like how Ricky creatively teaches young writer to explore to the daring world of scriptwriting.

9. Simplify and live a good life- by Bo Sanchez – Best book for me . Simply not to complicate our life.

10. Our Daily Bread- Published by RBC ministries- Daily Personal devotional books. I start my day reading and contemplating the words of God using the christian publication.
