The most unforgetable places in my life

1. Parang, MaguindanaoMy birthplace – On December 27, 1974 two days after Christmas I was born in the place. It was about 8:30 p.m. together with my father, the traditional midwife named Mrs. Tangub assist my mother in pushing me out. During that time, Cotabato is in chaos. The government troops and the Muslim rebel are at war. That year is also a peak of Martial law.

2. Nato, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.- My childhood town- Just a few days after my mother gave birth of me, we traveled from Cotabato to Agusan. The continuing conflict between Muslim rebels and the government troops, forced the whole family lift from Parang to find a safer place. In Nato, I finished my elementary school. In this place, millions of memories are so precious to me. My father work as a company driver in Crista Monte, a logging company that flourished during 70’s. When log band is strongly implemented during 80’s, Crista Monte closes it operation. August 27, 1986 my father died. One reason why I cannot forget this place, it is because my loving father were buried here.

3. Nabunturan, Davao del norte- I attended my first year high school in Assumption College of Nabunturan, one of the prestigious institution in the country. Most of my classmates come from a rich family. The teaching is best. I lived in my sister house who are a businesswoman. Much unforgettable experience in this place, one of those is I am selling ice candy.

4. Guinsiliban, Camiguin- My mother hometown-I finished my high school in this peaceful town. The island is so beautiful. I cannot forget Tatay Dadok, (a town photographer), Nanay Peryang, (a retired teacher) Ate Emie (an old maid and a teacher), Lolo Esmer (one of the founder of the town). They treated me as their own relatives during my 2 years stay in their house as a working student.

5. Butuan City-My college was so unforgettable in this city. Saint Joseph Institute of Technology (SJIT) granted me as a working scholar in this institution. I finished my college degree with so much pain. After five years of hard labor, I was awarded with a diploma in computer Science. Good and professional person I meet here. Above all I meet Jacquelyn in this place.

6. Carayan de oro city- Goldcrest Marketing- 2 weeks after my graduation, I accepted my first job in Cagayan de Oro as a computer operator. After 4 months I quite because of some conflict with my friend. I cannot forget this place not only because I accepted my first job here, but it is the painful memories of being betrayed by a friend linger in my mind.

8. Gen. Trias, Cavite- After my end of contract at Yumix Phils, I find a new job in Cavite. I was hired right away by Styrolite. In this place memories are stored, some makes me smile and the other makes me smile every time I can recall it.

9. Capitan Juan, Lantapan, Bukidnoon- Here I work in Sunbeam Farm as a office clerk. It is a farm affiliated by San Miguel Corporation. The place is so cold and bountiful of fresh vegetables. I served here for almost 2 years, after the surgery of my younger brother.
